It's 1996 when dj supergroover hears his first psychedelic beats in the form of goatrance. Eat static performs performs live on a liberty festival in the Netherlands. After that it only takes a while before he is fully jacked into electronical music. The musical journey is accompanied by physical journeys to musical places. Byron bay in Australia, koh phanghan in Thailand, Mexico and Goa (India) among others are visited to find more of the psychedelic music and psychedelic culture. In between the intercontinental journeys the quest for psychedelic trance is continued in Europe. Boom festival, Voov experience and countless others are attended.

After a few years of listening and enjoying psychedelic trance. Dj supergroover feels the need to participate in the psychedelic scene. He starts dj-ing in 2002, playing on private parties and in local pubs. In 2004 and 2005 he is a resident dj in Shadrak, a club in Groningen. In the basement all kinds of different electronical music are being played, from electro to breakbeat and from downbeat to psytrance. This is a great way to find out the ways of the crowd. How to warm up a night? How to make a crowded room go nuts? Besides playing in Shadrak on a weekly basis, he had a regular dj spot in café Kult. Gigs are becoming more and more frequent. This year there isnt a month that goes by without a few performances by dj supergroover. National and international. Outside the netherlands he has performed in Mexico, Guatemala, Bolivia Germany and Belgium, together with artists like: Shpongle, Xerox & illumination, Electric universe, Tristan, Andromeda, Youth, Eskimo, Matt boom! and Zen mechanics among many others.
His sets can be quite diverse. The choice of music depends of the time of day, indoor or outdoor, the wishes of the crowd and the rest of the line up. His sets are dynamic and not preplanned. They go from relaxed chillout through funky progressive psytrance with a friendly touch to twisted fullon dancefloor madness. Giving the crowd what it wants at times it needs it.
All material he uses is cd quality. For several reasons. First off all he simply wants to provide the audience with the best quality possible. Seeing many dj's nowadays playing mp3's, dj supergroover holds the view that the psytrance scene must be fed and kept healthy by buying the original cd's and giving artists the possibilities to show their music to an audience.

Apart from dj-ing dj supergroover is also busy with organising parties. He is part of the organisation Psynami (www.psynami.nl). Which organises parties in and around Groningen (the Netherlands). From small and friendly indoor parties to bigger outdoors. Whether it's for 50 people or 700 people, all parties are organised with the same intention. Providing a party experience never to forget. Besides Psynami he is busy with Soma-natesa (soma-natesa.nl), off my trolley (Groningen) and he used to organise a monthly psychedelic trance night in Kult café, Groningen.
